Dear Stefanie, dear Monique!
Thank you for your attention to GEN-Russia and your willingness to 
support us. It is extremely important to us.
Due to the political situation in Russia, companies and citizens that 
demonstrate relations with Western organizations immediately become 
suspect, with negative consequences. That is why GEN-Russia, as an 
organization, cannot be active. However, we can still pay our membership 
dues to GEN-Europe and maintain our legal status as a Russian NGO. We 
transferred our membership payment for 2024 this January. The Russian 
ecovillage network as a community is still operational; most of our 
members and other ecovillages remain active.
Regarding visiting the GA and Gathering, I will consult with my 
colleagues at our nearest meeting. Unfortunately, previous attempts to 
visit were unsuccessful due to visa application rejections. Part of our 
group moved to Europe 2-3 years ago. Perhaps some of them will have the 
opportunity to come. On the other hand, we fully understand that as 
citizens of a state responsible for the war, our presence could upset 
some guests, and it would require a high level of facilitation to ensure 
processes proceed smoothly despite this tension. If we find the 
possibility to send our representative to meetings, I will let you know 
in advance.
